Guys, what syringes and needles do you use? Do you often have to inject more than 2-3 cc of injectables at once?

Yesterday I injected myself with a 25 gauge needle that was 1 and 1/2 in long. I injected my quad and when I pulled out blood started spurting everywhere. I don't know what happened but maybe I hit a vein? After that it's now swollen a lot and I'm worried that I might have an infection what do I do
