yes this is true. you can eat papaya with meals and it will help. digestive enzymes contain it for that reason. however it won't help you digest lactose which is the sugar from dairy etc
It has been consistently said that grapefruit juice will help absorption as well but yes, as @SteveSmi said, it is true and papaya is one tasty fruit!!
