best lifts for 5x5 program?

Iasleo

Newbie
I’m looking to start a five by five program
I’m pretty new to weight training and I’ve been doing it for about six months and I have stuck to total body workouts with my personal trainer
now I would like to do this type of program
so far I have come up with bench, squat, powerclean, incline bench, and overhead press
what other compound lifts should I incorporate into this program that I’m missing?

i dont follow 5x5 i think the best is 6/1 and repeat

dips, pullups.. these are good compound lifts
deadlifts
i would drop overhead press. too much pressure on shoulders

need to focus a lot of your training on big lifts that's the key to doing five by five

for sure you're going to want to add in some ab work as well especially with weights
