So i ran into an old workout buddy i hadn't seen in a couple years and he looked good, holy crap he put on some size and ripped. we used to train together and we were average guys, now he looks like a bodybuilder. he said that his secret was tae kwon do training he would do 2-3X per week on days he didn't lift. says it helped him go further. is this possible or is he jerking me?

I think martial arts actually should combine with lower weight training. Big muscles are not good for fighting. Fight and big muscles dont mix as well better have smaller and stronger muscles. I mean IFBB pro level size is difficult.

of course martial arts, combined with a consistent diet and lifting weights will result into a really nice physique...

that worked for him but doesn't mean it will work for you

also i think there is more to his story. he probably started juicing up lol
