I used Metformin as a way to control hunger during cutting cycles. I would take 500mg in the morning and 500mg in the early evening. Overall, I just decided it wasn't worth the GI side effects. Sometimes I would feel fine on it, but other times it would cause me abdominal pain and gas. It did lower my A1C a bit, but I could have achieved that by dieting stricter. Another complaint I had about metformin is that it ruined my pumps during lifting sessions.
