top meals for strength training?

I’m looking to get some ideas for Top meals if you’re going to strength train
I’m looking to put something together to get stronger.
I used to be more of a bodybuilder now switching to powerlifting. I like to take something maybe with some sugars before I hit the gym what do you recommend as a good meal a couple hours prior?
 
maybe do some chicken and brown rice
 
I think if you want good carb options oatmeal or brown rice
