tough time getting into ketosis when fasting

I'm a 38 year old obese guy who is in good health otherwise. I have tried different fasting and it is working great for me. my question is why do i need to fast for like 3 days to get into ketosis while my brother who is much leaner than me takes him like half that time? is it because I am obese or something else?

If you fast, you'll get into ketosis for sure. Just a matter of time. Do a 5 day water fast and check your ketones.

it actually should be the opposite.

you would take less time to get into ketosis being fatter.

the truth is it will always be different, even on a day or day or week to week basis. everybody will be different and your own body will change

3 days is about the time you start getting into deep ketosis anyway. by day 4 you will be pissing out a high amount. so i wouldn't worry about this.

I would not obsess about getting into ketosis. If you fast or practice time restricted eating, you will get the benefits of fat loss.
