So I had my first of six shoulder injections yesterday. Went great, we did PRP with stem cells so it’s gonna feel pretty pissed off for a week or two while the meds cause the inflammation they require to work but I’ve been through worse. But I wanted to give y’all a little update to the dietary and training changes I’ve made in the last week. Any feedback is much appreciated.
So I have added in about a cup of each a day
Zucchini, broccoli, red bell pepper, and rice. 200-300g pine apple, 1 large banana, and 2 cups of mixed berries blue, raspberry and black berry. I pick the strawberries out and give them to the wife.
Proteins are switching daily between chicken breast and pork tenderloin. Now that deer season is in full swing I’ll be adding in some venison as well.
Fats I’m getting 10oz avocado, 3Tbsp olive oil, and same EFAs I’ve always taken. I’m not sure but curious if MCT oil would be an additional good fat to add in. Let me know what you think.
As for training, I won’t be logging again until my next cycle starts on Dec 1st. In the mean time I’ll be doing cardio at least 5 days a week for 30-45 min, 1 heavy leg day a week and core work 3-4 times a week and maybe 50% 1RM to failure on upper body work 1 each push pull. When I get cleared to go heavy again in Dec I’ll slowly work back up to my normal working load and sets. I’m going to keep diet clean even through turkey day eating no pie or sweets and just good proteins and fats, and a tad bit of taters and gravy. But the carrot Soufflé is gonna be hard to ignore.
